Q: Are The Villages a Fort Collins low income housing provider?
A: Yes, the Villages provides affordable housing in Fort Collins.
Q: Is there an application fee?
A: No, Villages do not charge an application fee for our affordable housing.
Q: How much is the security deposit?
A: The security deposit for a one bedroom apartment is $400, for a two bedroom it is $500 and for three bedroom apartment it is $600. The security can be paid in three installments.
Q: How much do I need at lease-up?
A: You are required to pay a $100 holding fee to reserve an apartment. This fee is applied toward your security deposit at move in. You will also need to pay your prorated rent, depending on the day of move-in.
Q: What are the lease terms?
A: Leases for our affordable Fort Collins housing are written for twelve months. Leases for less than twelve months are at the discretion of the manager.
Q: Do you accept co-signers?
A: Villages does not accept cosigners.
Q: What is your guest policy?
A: Guests are allowed to remain in the apartment for fourteen days. Residents are responsible for the behavior of their guests at all times.
Q: Do you allow pets?
A: Pets are allowed at selected properties. There is a $300 pet deposit, which must be paid in full at the time the pet moves-in. $250 of the pet deposit is refundable. Pets must be approved by the manager. There are restrictions on the number of pets, the size and breed.
Q: Does Villages run credit and criminal checks?
A: Yes, credit and criminal history checks are run on all applicants over the age of 18 prior to move-in to our affordable Fort Collins housing. Criminal checks are run at lease renewal annually.
