shutterstock_215592034Summer is almost over! Did you get everything done on your summer bucket list? If not, we have four activities you should enjoy to make the most of the rest of your summer in Fort Collins:

  • Enjoy the Rocky Mountains. We have some of the greatest outdoor recreation in the world right in our own backyard. If you do nothing else this summer, get out and enjoy the Rockies. Take a hike in Lory State Park, camp at Horsetooth Park, or head up to one of the nearby mountain towns and enjoy some mountain culture.
  • Check out a local food truck. Food trucks are the quintessential summer food source. Fort Collins has some amazing food trucks, and you can find out where they are by visiting FoCo Food Trucks. The website pulls tweets from local food trucks so you can see them all in one place and see who is close and serving up some tasty grub.
  • Hit a farmer’s market. Some farmer’s markets are open into the early fall, but summer is the sweet spot. The Fort Collins Farmer’s Market can be found at Harmony and Lemay on Sundays and Wednesdays from 11am to 3pm. You’ll find produce, honey, meats, and lots of great locally-made items to take home and enjoy.
  • Attend the Pooch Plunge. Enjoy an afternoon with your dog at City Park Pool on Labor Day (September 7) from 4-7 p.m.! Enjoy the afternoon by diving for toys and slipping down slides with your dog. When else do you get to do that?
